2006/2007 season dates for Arizona Quail are as follows:
Gambles and Scaled quail - October 13th, 2006 - February 12th, 2007
Mearns quail - November 24th, 2006- February 12th, 2007
The best time to hunt quail in Arizona is December, January and February. This is mostly due to the weather being cooler. The early season is hard on the dogs and it simply gets too hot too early in the day. Early season is typically only good for morning and evening hunting. Snakes are also still out during early season.
